HOW TO CREATE AN EVENT AND A TICKET

You must have a Networking Plus membership. Log in to your user dashboard, and then click on the “My Businesses” button. Choose the business to create the event for by clicking on “Manage”. On the dashboard menu on the left-hand side, you will see a dashboard and heading called “My Events”. Click on it, and a dropdown will open showing the word “Manage”. Click on it, and a page with all the events will open. Here you will be able to manage the events that you already have or create a new one by clicking on the “Create New Event” button. This will open up a pop-up asking for an event name. Click on the “Submit” button, and the event name will show up in your list. Click on “Manage” on the event name, and this will open up the event form where you fill out the requested information such as the event name, the capacity of the event (how many people are allowed to attend), an event description, the event date, the start time, the end time, the event type, and the cities where it will be promoted, or you can click on the “Promote on all cities” button.

If it’s an online event, take into account how many participants are allowed in your Zoom subscription, as well as any time limits. When finished, click on “Save Settings”. Scroll all the way up, and you will see a section called “Event Tickets”. For an event to be published on the platform, you need to have at least one ticket. To create a ticket, click on the button “Add Ticket”. This will open a pop-up form that requires information such as the ticket type, price, capacity, description, start and end date. The ticket type is basically an identifier for the ticket or the ticket name. For example, “Free Play Admission”. If this is a free event, you need to check the box under “Free Event?” If this is a paid event, the minimum price is one dollar ($1.00). You can determine how many tickets are available for this event under the “Capacity”. Once the capacity is reached, no more tickets will be available.

The start date is the date when the ticket is available. The end date is the last day this ticket is available. Once you fill out the form, click on the “Submit” button, and the ticket will show up on your ticket list, at the bottom of the page. Once you complete these steps, your event is going to be published, and people will be able to buy tickets for your event.
